“It has been a whirlwind, really, not your typical story of coffee runs and endless photocopying. I have been interning here for slightly past two months and Ichi Seiki has already made me feel like part of its machinery, in a metaphorical sense.
Being a very broad-based company, Ichi Seiki touches on every aspect of the engineering industry, including its marketing strategies, advanced machinery and innovation. Ichi Seiki isn’t just a workplace, but a haven for engineering minds, and I got front row seats.
It was overwhelming in the best way possible. I was required to absorb everything within such a short period of time. I am grateful for the seasoned staff who guided me throughout this journey and helped me get used to this new working environment.
Ichi Seiki certainly runs on the values of interconnectedness and interdependence. There’s a heartbeat here. I recall sometime last week when I accompanied my supervisor to another company, we urgently needed a part for a particular machine. Like clockwork, my supervisor could easily contact the staff back at the office to deliver the part over to the company.
It is these kinds of instances that you can truly witness how the company functions, and I trust that such a culture can take them far. I hope to work with this company in the near future, so as to contribute towards the future of innovation and engineering that Ichi Seiki stands for. Today we will invent our tomorrow.”
